Complaint Description and Writeup
Judy McDonald from Waynesboro, TN sent an e-mail concerning brownish green slime in the Green River. They are lcoated about 5 miles below the STP and a business called Tennessee Containers. Mrs. McDonald feels one of these two places is the cause of the problem. She says periwinkles and crayfish have disappeared. The recent May 2 flood had cleaned out all the bottom silt, but green slime has coated the rocks again.
DAL and GWH On 6-14-10, a site visit indicated the issues are with the STP. No problems were seen when with Tennessee Conatiners. The STP had solids discharging. AN NOV letter was written on 6-18-10.
