Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint: Reporting SSO at MH very near back of the house. They called MWS emergency number. Someone came out but said someone else would have to check on it. They were told that Matt Lott, MWS, would call but he never has. They received a letter from MWS stating that MWS would not be doing any clean-up of the area. ***
On 3/18/15, MRT spoke w/Matt Lott, MWS about this problem. Lott said crew was dispatched to do clean-up. They will also clean & TV lines D/S of this point all the way to American Rd. Lott wasn't sure if their connection was to sewer line or MH behind their house. ***
On 3/18/15, MRT visited this property. The MH on the sewer line along the east side of the property is about 2' above grade. Backflow check valve was visible in the open cleanout. Some sewage debris & very green grass was observed around the cleanout. Another MH was located just northwest of this property at the back of 470 Sunliner Dr. A connection here might provide more fall in the service line. This info was e-mailed to Lott. ***
On 4/22/15, Lott returned call from MRT. Lott said that line D/S of the MH by this location had been checked w/CCTV. The video show root intrusion at multiple locations, which likely contribute to reduced capacity & other problems. The lines have since been cleaned. Lott advised that complainant should periodically check the flap valve installed by MWS to ensure there is no debris buildup.
