RE: SOIL/EROSION DAMAGE TO MY LAND/ROAD IN PUTNAM COUNTY, TN.
My land (121 acres) is accessed through Michael Lucas, 6366 Old Mill Creek Road, Monterey, TN. (931-644-3576) Please contact both Michael and myself prior to inspection.
The continual occurrence of soil erosion causing road damage is from my neighbor, Rick James - Kevin, 6350 Walker Mountain Road, Cookeville, TN. (931-267-8604).
The first occurrence was in 2020 whereby his sedimentation closed my road. I paid to have the corrective action at that time. In 2022, I paid to have my road (.98 mile distance) completely graveled. Now, 2024, my road and pipe are completely blocked again by this newest soil movement.
It appears that Mr. James recently bull dozed approximately six acres in Dekalb fine sandy loam soil located on about a 30 % slope. This action was done directly upstream from my damaged crossing.
I am requesting two actions be taken. First action is for his land to be correctly repaired so as to not cause future damage to my land. Second action is for my road and crossing to be repaired to the condition prior to this damage.
I have tried calling him numerous times and texting with no response.
