Description and Writeup
11/3/16, the caller reports that during this summer water began emerging & flowing in the roadside ditch near his mother's home at 3169 Lights Chapel Road in Greenbrier. It has continued since then despite little or no rain. There had been no history of water flow in this area. The water first appears adjacent to the 3173 Lights Chapel Road address. It then flows done the ditch toward a pump station a couple of houses away & then under the street & flows between two businesses on the other side of the street. They have contacted the City of Greenbrier about it. Someone tested it for chlorine residual & said it was groundwater and not a drinking water leak. He said Greg Clement, DWR groundwater program, checked it & he detected a slight odor. Greg advised him to contact the NEFO wastewater program. I advised him I would contact Greg for information & then call the city & request they investigate further. 11/3/15, I called & talked with Greg Clement. He observed visible flow in the roadside ditch & there was a slight odor to the water. The location is the 2nd house away from a pump station. *AER*
