Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Danny Neely, Baileyton WWTP reported an 9/30/14 overflow from a sewer relief valve at the end of the line on Jones St. Approximately 300 gallons overflowed and the line was repaired on 9/30/14. A written report will be submitted to the Johnson City EFO.
The written report received 10/6/14 in the Johnson City EFO stated, "We dug up around the pressure relief valve at the end of the 2 inch pressure line and found where the pvc pipe ended and the metal valve began is where a 2-3 inch crack in the metal pipe was. We cut off the metal valve and replaced it with a pvc valve. We lost areound 300 gallons of sewage on the ground. We had no way of stopping the flow during the valve replacement....We did the necessary clean up and put down disinfectant over the affected area."
