Complaint Description and Writeup
Sondra Melton emailed Will Little Friday, 1/12/2024, concerning unlicensed well maintenance performed by Jacob Pierson Plumbing out of Humboldt, TN. According to Sondra's email - complainee broke the cap and underground discharge on the well and allowed mud to run in the casing. He also left the well owners without water for approximately a week. Complainee also left the well without a pressure switch as it was short cycling and the complainee didn’t know how to fix it. Complainee did not have wire nuts to secure the wire, so they used electrical tape and just twisted them together.
WNL - 1/16/2024 - Spoke to well owner by phone. The complainee trenched and laid a new water line between the well and pressure tank. Pressure tank is located at the dwelling. Complainee removed the pressure switch from the system and left the cap off the well casing. This caused mud to enter into the casing which was then pumped into the home fixtures. The residence was out of water for approximately one week. The Complainee informed the well owners to turn the breaker on and off when water was needed for the time.
WNL - 1/16/2024 - Upon investigation, Ashby Barnes found a post showing a pump installation. Photos uploaded.
