There are two construction sites on Hwy 53 In Alexandria and just across the Dekalb/Smith county line. Both sites are owned by the same developer/owner that are filling in Flood Zone A properties and destroyed a wetland. I spoke with the Town of Alexandria's Engineer. He told me no plans were submitted. The owner developer where issued at least one Cease and desist order. I have more files I can send. They also have added two driveways to (one on each site} Hwy 53. In my professional opinion the driveways are not built to TDOT standards. The Smith County site is adjacent to Hickman Creek fill along the creek may be in violation of Buffer Zones

Both just got elected to the Board of Alderman of Alexandria Tn. Bobby Simpson is now the vice mayor. Doesn't live in City limits or Dekalb Co. Channel 5 Nashville is running stories. Water/Sewer corruption. DA is investigating, Big mess. The new Mayor disbanded the Planning and Zoning Commission. Police resigned.
They are working 12+ hours a day trying to get these two sites built before the State shuts them down. Fill on these sites exceed 8'. I have photos as well that I can't download here.
