Complaint Description and Writeup
On 9/3/2024 DWR received a complaint referral from TWRA of a possible fish kill and white milky substance observed in Hickman Creek just outside the town of Hickman, TN and the confluence of the Caney Fork River. This complaint has been assigned to LRA for investigation.
Site was investigated on 9-4-2-2024 by SRP, LRA, and FRR. Low DO and low flow were noted at the site in area of dead fish, as well as large dispersals of green algae. No signs of pollution or illicit discharge were found in the area. TWRA staff has investigated as well.
