Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Mary Sue Langston called complaining about a hog farm going in close to her house. Her concerns were that they would contaminate her well water, drive down property value, stink, produce flies and that pig farmers are low lifes and liars. I explained that the farm has been issued permit coverage as a Class II CAFO. We do not regulate odors, fly problems, property values, drinking water or their personal character. She could contact her representative, watch for public nitices/hearings and I provided our Web Address and Permit Section telephone # for more information. I requested she call me if they discharge wastes to waters of the state.
