Description and Writeup
1/30/2024 - WNL performed well inspections at Nancey, LLC on 1/26/2024. The wells had not been properly marked by driller tags and a failure to adhere to the minimum setback of 100' from an animal pen. The wells were measured out to be approximately 50' from the chicken barns. The wells were noted to have been poorly placed in an area that has eroded. WNL called Tony Nguyen to confirm that Gus Well Drilling, #643, was the driller. No driller reports have been reported to date. Photo Log uploaded for documentation. Three wells were drilled for these chicken barns.
1/31/2024 - WNL had a conversation with Gus Naranjo by phone. WNL informed Mr. Naranjo that he would be receiving a NOV. Mr. Naranjo is going to let WNL know when the wells were drilled and give the information on the wells.
2/1/2024 - RWR spoke with Mr. Naranjo on the phone regarding electronic submissions, the recent violation for incomplete reports, and our concerns regarding the 4+ wells that are the subject of this case.
2/7/2024 - WNL - NOV mailed.
2/13/2024 - RWR - NOV still in transit
2/14/2024 - WNL - Gus sent in proof of Driller Tags being placed on well casings. Photos uploaded.
3/22/2024 - RWR - Driller tag issue resolved, all reports received, Although wells are poorly placed with regards to the chicken barns and the site drainage patterns, there is no violation of statute/rule - closing case.
