Description and Writeup
The complaint states that there is a rotten egg odor coming from a drainage ditch. ***
It appears as if the City of Gallatin may be working on it.
Attempted to contact complainant on 1/30/19, but she did not answer. Left voicemail asking to her return call. LKS 1/30/19
Attempted to contact Donald Alexander, collection system operator for Gallatin, but he was out of the office. Left message with admin. staff to have him return my call. LKS 1/30/19
Spoke with Mr. Donald Alexander regarding the complaint. He said that the city is aware of the issue and has been investigating for the past several months. The collection system has been ruled out as the possible source of the issue, as he stated that there is no sewer service in that area. The stormwater division of the city have performed sampling and site investigations, but have been unable to determine a source. Signs have been put up near the affected area to notify residents that an investigation is ongoing and Gallatin city staff have been in close contact with residents.
