Complaint Description and Writeup
What is the status of the solution to the landfill run off? I am a local landowner on the Tn River in the Matlock Bend area. My family and i frequently swim and boat in the immediate area of where the local tributary enters the Tn River. I was out Dec. 18,2024 at 1:23 pm , witnesses and videoed the runoff into the local tributary. I also videoed 3 minutes later which I would urge you to look at the increase of sediment entering the stream in just 3 minutes, Dec. 18, 2024 at 1:26 pm. There has to be a solution to this issue. I collected the runoff and am considering having the material tested as I would expect there is nasty dump material included in the runoff that is washing in the river. Should we be concerned swimming in the local proximity of the landfill in the Tn River? Your response and or to whom this should be forwarded to is at question. I believe there is a public health risk in the amount of material going into the river. Please advise.
