Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Odell Pointer of Humphreys County Natural Resources received an anonymous phone call from someone stating that they saw approximately 100-150 gallons of hydraulic fluid spilled @ Furnace #2 of the Waverly TN Scepter plant. Site is located 8/10 of a mile from the Tennessee River. JCL
Investigated possible spill and found that it was less than 25 gallons of hydraulic fluid inside the building. The spill had been contained by using the spill kits located on site. The spill is not in contact with potential storm water. Spill will not be able to run off site. H and H recovery collected the spilled liquid same day as spill. Plant manager and head maintenance officer oversaw the cleanup. Spill will be noted in SWPPP. Photos were taken but were unable to saved to memory card for some unexplained reason. JCL 3/18/08
