Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Ms. Porter called GKB to complain about the water she receives from Spring City Water System. She said that the water is often discolored and she has complained the the water system and the city. Gary Burriss met with the operators at Spring City (Curtis Boles and Vernon Armstrong). They agreed that sometimes the water is discolored due to a galvanized water line on Lakeshire Drive. They accompanied GKB on the visit to Ms. Porter's home on 7/8/2015 to investigate. At that time the water was clear. The turbidity was 0.67 NTU and the chlorine residual was 1.78 mg/L. A sample was collected for bacteriological analysis, which was subsequently negative.
Ms Porter had several pictures on her phone showing brownish water in her tub. I told Ms. Porter that I would send a letter to the system requiring that they take steps to correct the reported problem.
