Complaint Description and Writeup
13-APR-16 - Received information request from Ms. Wolf, her son,age 7, drank the treated waste water from the WWTP effluent pipe on Sunday (10-APR-2016). She reported that her son had been sick with nausea, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. She stated that her son had accessed the effluent pipe while playing along the river with a friend. She wanted to know what is in the water.***
I discussed the general contents of waste water with her. After the initial conversation I decided to make a trip to the treatment plant to verify the proper sign was in place at the outfall, to see the effluent and to collect copies of the daily operations sheets. At the time of the visit, the sign was in place and the effluent was clear. Review of the daily operation sheets showed normal operations for the time concerned. After my visit I contacted Ms. Wolf by phone to discuss my findings and then emailed her the copies of the daily operation sheets she had asked for. MPM ***
14-APR-2016 I spoke with the chief operator Rory Rowan regarding the plant and the idea of extending fencing from the corner of the plant to the river bank to try and restrict access to the outfall pipe.
