Complaint Description and Writeup
Mr. Cothran contacted Rep. Hawk's office about sewage overflowing from a tank on his property. TAR phoned Mr. Cothran and left him a voice mail message on 8/21/13. SKV contacted Mr. Danny Neeley, Baileyton Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator on 8/21/13. Mr. Neeley said he had not heard of this overflow and would check the tank on 8/21/13. After checking the tank, Mr. Neeley contacted SKV and said that the float ball level switches in the tank had rags/grease on them preventing the pump(s) from turning on. The floats were cleaned and the pump(s) were in operation. He also said Mr. Cothran had not contacted the Town of Baileyton about his complaint. SKV inquired if sewage was on the ground and Mr. Neeley confirmed it was. He was advised by SKV to send in a written report reporting the overflow per NPDES permit requirements and to place lime on the ground over the overflow area. The written report was received on 8/28/13.
