Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Mr. Danny Neely, Town of Baileyton WWTP reported a 4-5-17 overflow at the Davy Crockett Truck Stop pump station. The estimated volume was 200 gallons and the cause was due to the truck stop unplugging their trash tank. A written report will be submitted to the Johnson City EFO. The report received on 4-10-17 indicated the following, "The Davy Crockett pump station experienced an overflow around 6:00 pm On April 5, 2017. The pump station overflowed about 200 gallons of raw sewage. The cause of the overflow was not the Town's fault but the Davy Crockett Truck Stop. Their sewer lines and tank were clogged before the Town's pump station. When Davy Crocket got their lines and tank unclogged it caused the pump station to overflow because of the backed up sewage overloaded the Town's pump station. Billy Sanders done the necessary cleanup and put down lime to disinfect where the station overflowed." The report also indicated the following, "The Town of Baileyton is going to have a meeting and also send Davy Crockett Truck Stop a letter informing them that from now on when they are going to have a septic tank truck pump out and clean their sewage trash tank that they have to inform the town the day before it is to be pumped so we can have someone on site to make sure they are pumping out the grease and solids, not just the water. The Town of Baileyton hopes this will resolve this problem in the future."
