Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Mr. Eric Ball-DWR received an anonymous complaint about wastewater on the ground from a pump station across from 6795 Horton Highway, Baileyton. Ms. Sandra Vance (SKV)left a voice mail message with Mr. Danny Neely, Baileyton Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) on 1-8-19 about the complaint. Mr. Neely reported in an 1-8-19 e-mail, "We received your message concerning the sewer overflow at 6795 Horton Highway. Billy left right after we received the message and was at the scene in 10 minutes. The home has been vacant for about 25 years. Nobody called the Sewer plant or Billy or myself to inform us there was a leak. Billy shut off the main valve going to the residential pump station. We estimate we overflowed around 1,000 gallons. I will send you a letter in a day or two." SKV contacted Mr. Neely who indicated the valve inside the pump station tank had rusted off. The main valve going to the pump station was cut off. The debris was raked and lime applied to the affected area. No flow reached a creek. Mr. Neely was advised to report the incident as a dry weather release. The report received on 1-11-19 indicated the above information.
