    Complaint Description and Writeup

7-MAR-2019 I received a call from Mr. McBride concerning sewage backing up into his yard. I will follow up with Larry Johnson to begin investigating this issue.***

8-MAR-2019 Complaint investigation Report from Larry Johnson***
    "Customer Complaint Report
    Customer Address 102 College Court
On March 7 the City of McEwen received a call from Ginny Lawrence (VDL) with TDEC regarding a sewer customer complaint from Jerry (Pee Wee) McBride located at 102 College Court about raw sewage on the ground. Houston Howell and Larry Johnson went to investigate. Their findings were that 102 College Court, 114 College Court, and 140 College Court, Sewer is connected to sewer main on one tap. Main Sewer line runs between 114 College Court and 140 College Court. 114 College Court has a trailer that is disconnected from sewer. 102 College Court service line runs east thru 114 College Court service line and then joins 140 College Court service Line. 102College Court Cleanout cap was in place and no sewage on ground. 114 College Court Sewer Cleanout had concrete block on top. Raw Sewage was present. Man Hole Lids were raised and Main Line was found to be clear and running upon inspection.
On March 8, 2019 Houston Howell and City employees went to 102 College Court and raise manhole and inserted 100 feet of sewer rods in Main line finding no blockage. The Cleanout for All three services are located 65 feet from manhole. City employee’s then inserted rods in cleanout located at 140 College Court. Roots were removed from cleanout. City employees were station at manhole and flow was seen when roots were removed. Mr. McBride toilet was flushed and water was seen going thru service line.
This was a blockage was on Mr. McBride due to roots being in cleanout with three services located on one sewer tap.

13-MAR-19 I spoke with Houston Howell over the phone. Mr. Houston will be in contact with the Mayor to discuss the possibility of an additional sewer tap for Mr. McBride.***

19-MAR-19 LKS and VDL visited Mr. McBride's property and it was apparent that the sewer taps had been altered by the resident on this property. It is the resident's responsibility to fix this issue.
