Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Mr. Jason Benton-DWR-Johnson City Environmental Field Office (JCEFO) received Mr. Ronnie Dickens' report of sewage in his yard and house. Ms. Sandra Vance (SKV)-DWR-JCEFO contacted Mr. Dickens who indicated the flow came from a cleanout in his yard. He contacted the Town of Mountain City on 11-11-2020 and 11-12-2020 and indicated that no one responded. SKV contacted Mr. Chris Hook, Town of Mountain City who indicated he was not aware of the complaint and would check it out. SKV called Mr. Dickens and informed him Mr. Hook was going to investigate his complaint on 11-12-2020. Mr. Dickens later reported he discovered another drain going into the water or sewage system. Mr. Hook reported that he replaced the cleanout that had been driven over in Mr. Dickens' yard. Some sewage had overflowed into the yard and stormwater from a blocked storm drain also flowed into his yard. Further no sewage came into his house per Mr. Hook. Finally, an iron cleanout will be installed to replace the present cleanout later.
