Complaint Description and Writeup
Jonathan Linder (BAE Systems/HSAAP) called BBC at 14:37 on 2/6/2020 to report overflow of process wastewater from the HSAAP Area B collection system. Mr. Linder reported that the facility had received >3.6" of rainfall this week. Resultant I&I overwhelmed available industrial sewer capacity, and the wastewater was overflowing and entering stormwater outfall 182, which discharges to the Holston River. BAE Systems Utilities personnel were working to find a means to isolate this section of line at the time of report. Additional information provided in the written report on the incident stated the overflow occurred from approximately 00:10 to 17:00.
