Description and Writeup
Jonathan Linder (BAE Environmental Affairs/HSAAP) left voicemail for BBC on 04-APR-19 to report a sanitary sewage release the previous day. BBC spoke with Mr. Linder to obtain additional details regarding the release. Mr. Linder reported that a leak was discovered from a 3" cast iron sewer line at HSAAP Area B across from the vehicle maintenance shop. BAE personnel excavated approximately 8 cubic yards of contaminated material from the area for disposal and replaced a 15' section of piping with PVC. The released sewage appeared to be localized in the vicinity of the leak and did not appear to have reached any pathway to waters. A written report will be submitted.
