Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Caller reported that the Hoover Rock Quarry has been working in a stream that runs accross the rear of her property. She believes that this stream is being relocated and that it is being diverted to a path closer to her home.
I investigated this complaint on 2/1/07. I did not find any alterations to the stream at the quarry. This stream disappears into a sinkhole before reaching the Granstaff property. Some distance below this sinkhole a channel crosses the Granstaff property. This channel was dry and appeared to be a wet weather conveyance. I contacted the quarry and they showed me where they had recently begun a new excavation. This new excavation was in the general vicinity of the stream, but no work was being performed near the stream. I was told that no tresspassing signs had recently been posted around the perimiter of the quarry and that this may have created unintended suspicion.
