Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
The past rain has really made it clear the failure of the silt fence on that site. On the upper end the work crew has been running equipment up the creek as they move from one side to the other. Not just a few feet, but rather a stretch of about 20yrds where they have moved equipment up and down the creek bed as they work on each side of the stream. That compiled with the lack of silt fence on the upper 1/3 of the project has created a silt problem that is choking the entire stream out. I would request that someone within the Water Resources Division please make a trip down to check on that project and put a stop to this completely preventable and unnecessary practice. I have attached a short 10 second clip of the pile of dirt and stone they have moved right up to the creek bankā¦.after the previous rains we have had, that pile now has multiple washouts where all the sediment has moved into the river.
Please let me know if you need any further information.
