Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
The complainant reported that a sewage pumping station had been spilling untreated sewage into Shakerag Hollow creek. The caller
alerted the Sewanee Utility District over the weekend, but he said no mitigation measures had been taken. On 8/30/07, JMP investigated the complaint and observed sewage pouring out of the pumping station onto the ground behind the tennis courts at St. Andrews School. The sewage was flowing down a hill along a walking trail toward Shakerag Hollow (per topo map). Solids were observed around the pump station.
