Subject: Incident #1854 - Hazmat Water - Hamilton County
All,
On November 20, 2024, at 1737, the State Watch Point was notified by Hamilton County EMA of a single-vehicle accident located at 8507 Maple Valley Drive in Apison, TN. EMA reported a Terminix pickup truck drove into a suburban pond, releasing 2-3 gallons of pesticide and an unknown amount of gasoline into the water. No injuries were reported. EMA and SO were on scene, and there were no requests for TEMA assistance. This incident is ongoing.
Investigated by DWR on 11/21/24, no fish kill, no sheen or indicators it leaked into water.
