Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
I am a new homeowner, I built a beautiful home off Shepherd Rd. and moved into it October 2022 and the watershed (ditch) that runs between my property and the neighbors is constantly filling with all the debris that runs off the hills from across the street and any litter that has been thrown out pours down with it.
I have attached just two pictures of what is currently accumulated, and I know that this is making it to the surrounding creeks and will make it to the Tennessee River at some point. I have cleaned it out repeatedly, but after a hip replacement last year and facing different types of snakes in the area it isn’t something I can safely do alone anymore. I am asking for a team to be sent from maybe the community service teams to help clean this out and produce a solution to ‘catch’ the debris that continues to flow down and move through this ditch as soon as possible.
I believe with some sort of gate or thick mesh being installed properly, we can catch all or most of the debris in one safe location to be cleaned easier and allow the water to flow through as intended down to the creek at the back of my house.
