Received a phone call from Kris Kinder stating that the potable water line inside y-12 had a break around 2 am on 06/20/2024. The water discharged into East Fork Poplar Creek through outfall 021. There was an estimated 2 MG of water discharge that resulted in a fish kill in the area. Oak Ridge National Laboratory personnel are coming to assess the situation and the contamination of the creek. A formal report is to follow once more information is obtained.
