Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Complainant states that her water is green and is concerned about safety. She stated that she contacted Clarksville and they asked if it was in the hot water she said yes and they advised her to contact a plumber for the hot water tank. The plumber came to the house and noticed that the color was also in the cold water and advised her to check again.
20-DEC-24 complaint referred to Clarksville, they will investigate and report back to DWR.
From Clarksville: We had our Lab Tech, Nicole, go out on 12/20 and collect a sample from 808 Burlington Ct - both from the hose to house connection and the meter. Those results are as follows:
Hose to House Connection:
Analysis Results Allowable Range
Residual Chlorine 0 ppm 0.2 – 4.0 ppm
pH 8.0 pH units 6.5 – 8.5 pH units
Hardness 110 ppm N/A
Alkalinity 95 ppm N/A
Fluoride 0.43 ppm 0.0 – 2.0 ppm
Iron 0.0 ppm 0.0 – 0.3 ppm
Manganese 0.009 ppm 0.0 – 0.05 ppm
Meter:
Analysis Results Allowable Range
Residual Chlorine 1.7 ppm 0.2 – 4.0 ppm
pH 8.0 pH units 6.5 – 8.5 pH units
Hardness 110 ppm N/A
Alkalinity 95 ppm N/A
Fluoride 0.42 ppm 0.0 – 2.0 ppm
Iron 0.0 ppm 0.0 – 0.3 ppm
Manganese 0.013 ppm 0.0 – 0.05 ppm
Nicole took the outdoor sample immediately instead of after our normal 2-3 minutes with the goal of catching the reported "green particles." Ms. XXXX reported to myself & Nicole that she had not been staying at the home daily - hence the report of 0ppm chlorine. Nicole went back to the home on 12/23 and pulled a sample again which resulted in the following results:
Analysis Results Allowable Range
Residual Chlorine 2.2 ppm 0.2 – 4.0 ppm
pH 7.9 pH units 6.5 – 8.5 pH units
Hardness 114 ppm N/A
Alkalinity 98 ppm N/A
Fluoride 0.48 ppm 0.0 – 2.0 ppm
Iron 0.017 ppm 0.0 – 0.3 ppm
Manganese 0.017 ppm 0.0 – 0.05 ppm
A bacteriological test was also run on the 12/3 sample that returned Absent results. Both Adam and Nichole have reached out via phone to Ms. XXXX and shared these results via voicemail. Neither of them have received a call back from her just yet.
I'm having scanner issues currently (looks like it took a break for the holidays!) so I hope these listed results work for you, if not - I can get copies of our paperwork to you as soon as possible.
I will mail Ms. XXXX my normal recap for customer complaints with these results and we will keep trying to get in touch.
Let me know if y'all have any other questions and we'll get it handled!
