Complaint Description and Writeup
Ms. Robin Cooper, DWR reported a sewage odor on Meadowbrook Dr. near the State Fish Hatchery, Erwin during a routine sample run (Spring Creek)on 2-17-16. SKV contacted Mr. Jason Byrd, Erwin WWTP on 2-17-16 via e-mail and via phone on 2-18-16. Mr. Byrd said the odor would be investigated and SKV would be contacted with the results of the investigation. Mr. Matt Rice, Erwin Utilites via a 2-18-16 e-mail indicated the following, "We investigated this and we did not find the smell today. There is a sewer manhole in the vicinity, across the creek from Meadowbrook, so it is possible that a sewer smell was present. We can confirm that we did not see any sewage."
