Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint: WADC spreading sludge on site at Cox Pike & Hall Ln, Fairview, Williamson County. It is burning eyes & nose of complainant & his wife. Looks like they spread chunks of mud. On Hall Ln, house move in by owner - Seaborne. Disturbed land & no silt fence. Runoff to lake (Clement Lake) on Hwy 96. ***
On 5/18/11, MRT spoke w/Ron Stone, Jones Creek STP. He confirmed that lime stabalized (EQ) sludge was spread at this site on 5/17/11. ***
On 5/19/11, MRT visited the Hall Ln area in Fairview. A new house was being finished at the north end of Hall Ln. There was some disturbed soil immediately around the house but no runoff towards Clement Lake. ***
EQ sludge had been spread on some property directly behind the houses on the west side of Hall Ln. At this time there was minimal odor. No problems were observed with how this material was spread & no approval required from this division for EQ sludge sites.
