Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Jacob Hite (BAE Systems/HSAAP) left voicemail for BBC during evening of 10-July-2020 to report a sanitary sewer overflow. The overflow had been stopped by the time of report and cleanup activities were underway. The written report received 15-July-2020 estimated 10 gpm of overflow for approximately three hours because of a power outage at the HSAAP Area B facility. Sewage overflowed from three points in the collection system at the B217 pump station and near the onsite steam plant. BAE Systems personnel notified the downstream First UD of Hawkins County WTP of the overflow. The overflow ended when power was restored to the pump station, and impacted soil was excavated for proper disposal.
