Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Per Mr. Bunch:
(1)(a)Raw sewage from SSO at manhole in Mr. Bunch's yard entered the creek (Flat Fork) and has pooled there for 2 1/2 months. Due to drought there has been no flow in the creek to flush it out. (b)Lime was not applied to overflow.
(2)Mr. Bunch does not believe the state and City will ever get the problem at PS#1 solved. It has been ongoing for a number of years.
10-18-2016 through 10-20-2016 follow-up:
1) short-term: (a) requesting Wartburg to pump out raw sewage if any pooled in creek; Mayor Dagley committed to do this immediately. Operator to investigate and take photos.Operator reported stagnant water at PS #1 and u/s of PS #1, but no signs of raw sewage. Photos submitted; evaluated; no raw sewage noted. (b)requesting Wartburg lime residuals if any on the ground. Operator unaware that there have been any recent overflows at Mr. Bunch's property, since manhole paved over and sewage would have to be really backed up. There was a reported overflow at MH 1-7 about two weeks ago. Operator put out hay bales, chlorine tablets, and lime 10-19-16 in case there is a future overflow at MH 1-7 due to PS #1. Photo submitted.
2) long-term: requesting status report on upcoming 2017 corrective actions proposed in capital improvements plan for LS #11 and PS #1. NRH 10-21-16
