Description and Writeup
I am writing to you out of concern about this development and the amount of the construction activity with large equipment significantly disturbing the soil causing runoff into the nearby waterway, Beech River. The silt fence is not visible as it has been covered with run off soil. Every time it rains, the run off seems to get worse. The properties immediately downstream are flooding worse than usual. Initially, the property owner dug a trench to the river which has since been covered with kudzu. I will attach pictures from March 26, 2024. At present, the site has been built up with large amounts of dirt that is running off into the nearby area. I will attach pictures from this week so you can see the difference. Thank you for your attention to this matter and your efforts in conservation of this beautiful area.
