Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Barrette Outdoor Living, Inc. self-reported that paint was being washed to creek by rain. Roof painted on building on 11-5-14 by contractor with 22 gallons of paint. Rain washed paint into Whitehorn Creek. TAR and JKH conducted investigation on 11-5-14. Creek white in color due to runoff. Samples collected from ditch discharging to creek. Creek white in color at road below plant. Follow up on 11-6-14 revealed creek was clear at plant but still white in the town of Bullsgap about a mile below plant. Discussions with Steven Darnell and C. Gary Williams revealed Four Seasons had been hired to pump ditch line and catch basins at plant. Approximately 35000 gallons of runoff had been hauled to the Mosheim POTW for disposal. Whitehorn Creek was checked in several locations. No dead fish were observed. Barrette Outdoor Living, Inc. will send a written report detailing the incident.
