Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
JCA received complaint from a landowner located downstream of George Dickel on Cascade Hollow Road about a spring located on his property that has a milky appearance. Construction activities are taking place upstream of this location on Dickel's property.
Steve Lomax and I made visit to investigate this complaint today. We observed that slow pool areas in spring appeared cloudy. A small amount of sediment was observed in the stream channel and on vegetation outside of the channel. We located where two springs originated on the complainants property but did not see any evidence that sediment was entering this area on the surface. We advised the landowner that material within the hillside upstream from the spring origins could have shifted causing this turbidity which may be a natural occurence. No evidence observed that connects construction project to this spring.
