Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Mr. Thompson called because waste water is backing up into his home from sewer overflows from the city's collection system. The overflows appear to be due to Grease plugging the line. The most recent occruance of his pipes backing up was this morning. He had to remove the cap from his sewer line to the city sewer line so the overflow can drain to his yard instead of flood his home. The city was blowing out the sewer line a few days ago. When his plumbing started backing up ths mornign he called the city and they came out again to blow out the lines. Once they were blwon out, his pipes started draining again. Similar flooding incidents occurred in 2012 but were more sevier. In these incidences the city's insurance paid for Mr. Thompson's floors to be removed and replaced as well as the dirt under the house that had been contaimianted by the overflows. Mr. Thompson has just recently gotten throug with these repairs and is concerned that he nor anyone else have to go though similar types of repairs again. Mr. Thomson is having the city order him a check valve to install himself in hopes of preventing future flooding of his home. Gave Mr. Thomson my name and phone number to report any future incidents.
