Complaint Description and Writeup
The complainant states: "Our local Cumberland river smells like poo every night, but today on a walk thru a park, I found countless numbers of poo floating on the river surface. Picture taken in Ashland City, TN 37015 on the small bridge crossing water Located in John C. "Preacher" Poole Recreation Area. GPS location of photo: 36.272994,-87.072915"
14-MAR-23: Contacted Ashland City staff, Mr. Clint Biggers (Collections) and Billy Harris (COIC) and informed them of the nature and location of the complaint.
15-MAR-23: Mr. Clint Biggers informed me there were no odors or evidence of sewage at both pedestrian bridges and surrounding areas within the John C. "Preacher" Poole Recreation Area.
22-MAR-23: I arrived on site with a colleague and confirmed the location described by the complainant was not polluted and odor-free. We checked the surrounding area for potential sewage sources and observed none. Stormwater culverts and retention areas were free of pollution.
