Complaint Description and Writeup
Complainant says, More or less I have concerns with the sewage issue that is located at Wendy’s in Bulls Gap right off of exit 23............. the town of Mosheim won’t fix this issue they just call roto rooter every so often to come out which goes in directly behind Wendy’s and smells horrid. The parking lot stays smelling foul because of this issue. I just think this issue needs to be fixed especially with all the future sewage that may come from the new development “Mosheim Crossing.” The town of Mosheim will not do anything about it other then calling roto rooter everytime.….
08/08/2024- Contacted Mr. John Haak with Veolia (contracted by Mosheim to operate the Mosheim wastewater treatment plant and collection system) to inquire about this situation. He provided work order information performed at this location and found out the owner of the location had a contract with Roto-Rooter to pump the tank.
08/22/2024-Advisement Letter sent to Town of Mosheim regarding the need to report releases from components of the collection system which the Town owns and/or operates; the division recommends the Town of Mosheim be notified when pump out occur at locations they operate; and the division recommends development of a fats, oils, and grease program.
