Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
Complainant arrived at the office on 11/15/24 and stated that their water has been discolored and coming out brown for years now. Complainant stated that the day they came in to make the complaint their water was running clear and MLGW happened to come out and sample their water that day. It should be noted that there was another complaint through EPA from the spouse at the same residence that the field office received on 11/7/24. DWR contacted the complainant on the same day and followed up with the complainant the following week on 11/12/24. The complainants stated that water has been sampled before but no results were given to them.
DWR staff spoke with MLGW and they stated that the lab tech is still investigating the customer complaint. The lab tech visited the home on 11/15 and performed conductivity, free chlorine and pH and collected a sample for coliform testing and iron. MLGW stated that all were well within TDEC requirements. The lab tech is currently preparing a lead kit for the customers now and will provide a detailed report once notes are added to the file.
