Complaint Description and Writeup
Hello,
They have cleared property on Snow Hill rd and there is a couple of large sinkholes next to the road. One is near the cemetery they moved and it has a couple of deep holes in the middle of it. The other is next to the gas pipeline.
They told me the TDEC Site # 167786 and the name of the subdivision is The Retreat at Snow Hill.
Somebody said that they were going to put a stormwater pond where one of the sinkholes is.( the one next to the cemetary) Do they have to get a permit to put that stormwater into a sinkhole? Carson Springs where our drinking water comes from is less than a mile away. Why would they be allowed to put stormwater from roads and yards with all the chemicals, oil, gas,and everything into a sinkhole that would go into our drinking water (groundwater)?
Do they have to get a permit to put a stormwater pond on that sinkhole?
Will your department look into this?
