Complaint Description and Writeup
Complaint Description and Writeup
The complainant noticed the heavy rain was causing mud run-off from a resident's dig site into Marys Creek in Collierville.
Reference complaint #132532
DWR staff inspected the site the morning of 9/13/24 during a multi-day rain event. They did not observe any evidence of soil leaving the property, being spread to nearby properties, or significantly affecting Mary's creek at the time of the investigation. Attempted to make contact with the landowner but there appeared to be no one on the property. DWR will follow up and try to make contact with the landowner. On 9/26/24 DWR staff send a letter addressed to the listed landowner to gather more information on the activities occurring on the site.
On October 2, 2024, Richard Garrett of R & G Construction contacts DWR staff. He states that the construction on site is currently less than one acre and is planned to be a pond. Mr. Garrett states that he will be sending a letter in the main to DWR to follow up.
10/7/24: Landowner confirms this via email.
