Baileyton WWTP personnel were informed the morning of 9-10-14 about the pump station failure. A written report will be sent to the Johnson City EFO. The report received 9-15-14 stated, "Both pumps were burned up from trash being in the wet well. Last year we made the truck stop put a trash tank in and told them to have it pumped at least 1 time per month. We have not had to do any repairs or replace no pumps for over a year as long as they had Roto-Rooter come and pump the trash tank out. Their trash tank is full of trash and it overflowed to our wet well and clogged and burned our pumps up. We lost about 200 gallons of sewage on the ground while we installed 2 new pumps. We cleaned up the area and sprayed bleach on the affected area."
