Bathroom, tub shower toilet n fawcet is almost unbearable to smell. Kitchen water is same. I cannot even cook with it. Apartments say this is from paint. Yep for 4 months. Water department says it stinks but is ok to drink. I have felt I'll ever since I moved here in February 2019. Angry worker at oil change place here in Murfreesboro TN dumped truckload of oil and antifreeze in main water supply in November 2018. I have felt I'll since I have lived here. I am moving out July 1st.***No oil or antifreeze was ever dumber into the water supply. The incident the complainant is referring to was a criminal vandalism case in Murfreesboro where oil was dumped into a creek. The incident was cleaned up in coordination with Steve Spurlin EPA.CUD visited site on 19-JUN-19 Customer has called twice about the smell of the water. We have not had any other complaints in the area or the apartment complex. Told customer the smell was chlorine dioxide that we use in the treatment of the water. The apartment is new and the chlorine dioxide is reacting to the VOCs from the paint and carpet. Customer also has air freshers in the apartment that are also putting VOCs in the air to react with it. Customer was asked to air the apartment out to remove the VOCs. She has not air it out like we asked her to do. Chlorine first time was 2.2 and second time was 1.1. We showed her outside that the water coming into the apartment building did not have any smell and tasted fine. Here are the completion notes on both visits at top of email. If you need anything else please let me know.
