Notes
Full ARAP inspection with Nick Tovar (Southern Environmental Technologies) and Mike Reed (Treed and Associates). All limestone fines, from the unauthorized release, have been removed from stream segments 1 & 2. All rock and log drop structure in stream segment 1 were properly installed and operating as designed. The streambanks in segment 1 have been re-sloped and stabilized with seed and erosion control matting. Final riparian planting will occur in the fall. The riparian area in stream segment 2 was not disturbed and was well vegetated.
Limestone fines remained in stream segment 3 and need to be removed by hand. Most areas with limestone fines had been flagged by the consultants for removal; however, addition limestone deposits that were not flagged were identified during the inspection. It was recommended that Dunlap Stone contact TDEC when conducting material removal in this area to insure all material is removed from the stream. Removal activities should occur as soon as practicable.
