Logan Kennedy, Chris Pracheil, Lindsay Acuff, and Jeff Patton met with Bobby Hall to check on the progress corrective actions taken to remedy violations noted during previous inspections. Progress on mined through tributary looks good. As the trib approaches its confluence with Caney Fork there is a stretch without positive drainage. This area should be regraded to allow positive flow. There is some overburden along the trib that should be stabilized. Previously mined area to the north of the proposed permit boundary still needs to be stabilized. Sumps in several areas of concern have been better established to the point where no sediment was noted leaving the site. The NPDES permit for this site is still expired and no application materials have been received since January 2023. An application resubmittal must be submitted within 60 days. the site is out of compliance due to lack of active permit coverage.
