Notes
Mining activities have expanded south of permit area into the adjoining parcel owned by the permittee. Land clearing/logging activity resulting in sedimentation of UT to Big Sandy River was observed. The silt fence along the eastern edge of the permit boundary is not properly installed. Additionally, the sumps need to be cleaned out and check dams reinforced along the entrance road to the southern portion of the property. The landowner voiced understanding and agreed to make BMP improvements.
