Notes
Met on site with John Melfi. Minimal amount of water in Pond 2A, which receives stormwater from the grinding plant and roller mill. Solids are removed from this pond as needed. Water in Pond 2A settles out prior to entering Pond 2.. Water level in Pond 2 was low with no discharge occurring from Outfall 002 during inspection. Stormwater from crusher areas, bulk loading area and limestone stockpile area flows into Pond 1A. This conveyance contains check dams and filter berms to filter water before entering Pond 1. Discharge occurring from Outfall 001 during inspection was clear. Outfall structure at 001 is scheduled for repair. Berms are well maintained along access and haul roads. No violations have been reported from Outfalls 001 or 002 since the previous inspection.
