Notes
Pre-mine inspection at the proposed Dayton Quarry (TN0070722). Site is a historical limestone mine that has been inactive for decades and is well vegetated. There is an existing highwall, quarry pit and haul roads. The site was covered with large boulders that the landowner is proposing to crush. The applicant will need to improve a stream crossing on the proposed mine entrance road, which will require an ARAP permit. Notified the consultant and landowner that the drainage feature south of the proposed haul road will need to be avoided or have a hydrologic determination before it can be disturbed. Investigated the drainage feature to the west (above) the proposed mine site. It was clear that the feature was a wet weather conveyance and a hydrologic determination was not required. See Inspection Report for additional details.
