Notes
Partial inspection to assess expansion areas for proposed modification. Clearing had begun in the eastern area, but no mining activities had taken place. The operator reported that a CGP had been obtained from the local MS4 for this activity. Mine wastewater is still routed to the existing treatment pond and will be until the new pond has been constructed. A discharge was occurring here and effluent is routed so as not to pick up additional sediment from site clearing. BMPs were present at the perimeters of the cleared area. No characteristics of unnoted Waters of the State were found in either area.
